The grinding ball mill equipment can be divided into two types: a wet grinding ball mill
and a dry grinding ball mill. What are the characteristics of the two grinding ball mills?
Generally, dry grinding ball mill can save water resources without adding water, but it is noisy and causes more dust when working. But the wet grinding ball mill is different, because it has to add water when it works, it has less pollution and no dust. With the development of economy and technology, more energy-saving and environmental protection wet grinding ball mill has been developed rapidly, accounting for more than 75% of the total grinding ball mill. Compared with dry grinding ball mill, wet grinding ball mill has the advantages of energy saving and environmental protection.
1. For continuous working of dry grinding grinding ball mill, due to the influence of ore humidity, a very thin material layer is formed on the surface of ore and liner, so the energy consumption per ton of ore is 25%~30% higher than that of wet grinding ball mill.
2. Dry grinding ball mill has strict requirements on the moisture content of raw ore. When clay is more, water content should be less than 49%, and when clay is less, water content is about 5%, which has little effect on production. When the water content is high, it will cause the reduction of ore discharging or even can not be discharged. In order to reduce the water content, we have to increase the hot air facilities, so that the investment and production costs of dry grinding ball mills are increased. The wet grinding ball mill can handle ores with high water content and argillaceous content. When separating low-grade magnetic iron ore, the wet grinding ball mill is easy to obtain any required size and is suitable for magnetic separation.
3. The investment of wet grinding ball mill is generally lower than that of dry ball mill. Under the same conditions, the investment of wet grinding ball mill is about the same as that of general grinding process. Dry ball mill must have a set of air system with many auxiliary equipments, while wet grinding ball mill has fewer auxiliary equipments and simple material transportation equipment. Therefore, the investment of dry ball mill is about 5%~10% lower than that of dry ball mill. The power consumption of wet grinding ball mill is higher than that of dry ball mill, but the power consumption of dry ball mill plus air system is higher than that of wet grinding ball mill.
